bobbioBob Barnett is the author of Tonics and co-author of The Guilt-Free Comfort Food Cooking and The New York Times bestseller Volumetrics: Feel Full on Fewer Calories. He has been an editor at The Runner, American Health (where he edited the American Health Food Book), Parenting, where he was Health Editor,  and MDMinute, where he was Editor in Chief. Bob went digital in 1999 as Senior Features Editor for Miavita.com, a health website founded by Mike Milken. In 2007, Bob become Director of Condition Content for  YourTotalHealth.com, an iVillage.com/NBC website; he became Director of Custom Health at iVillage in 2010. There he oversaw editorial projects with business value, including tools such as the “Snack Swapper” (well-liked by Michelle Obama), the video series “Menopause Conversations,” and “Great Skin!, a digital magazine.

He became independent in January, 2013. Bob writes for Cleveland Clinic Wellness, Health.com, ZesterDaily, Family Circle, Weight Watchers magazine, Grandparents.com, Turner Upwave, and other websites and magazines, sometimes under his original byline, Robert A. Barnett. He is the Men’s Health and Family Health editor for Knowmore.tv,and works as a consultant with Centric Digital on healthcare communcations.
